The great news is everyone can get involved in Snowsports!

I aim to assist anyone with a disability to get out and have fun and freedom on the snow. I am here to give you whatever help you might need to achieve your skiing aspirations and to be part of our wonderful alpine environment.

With twelve winter seasons teaching disabled skiers my passion is to get everyone onto the snow.

Snowsports are a fantastic way to get out on the mountain and experience everything the mountain has to offer.

I work to ensure there is virtually no limit as to who can participate in snowsports. With the right equipment and instruction anyone can enjoy the thrill of the mountains regardless of disability!

My Qualifications

I’m a BASI Level 3 Adaptive Instructor and one a handful of BASI Adaptive Instructors that also work as BASI Trainers, training the UK’s Adaptive Instructors at all levels up to Level 3.

What can I do for you?

As well as tailoring lessons for experienced or competitive disabled skiers I can design sessions for beginners or less advanced skiers, whether you need to simply learn the basics or develop your technique, or perhaps get rid of bad habits.

If you want to feel the speed and excitement of snowsport but you haven’t skied before, and are perhaps worried that your disability may prevent you from getting the full benefit of the mountain experience then the list below will give you some idea of the range of disabilities of my recent clients. I work with disabled clients at every level, including:

  • Paraplegic and Tetraplegic skiers
  • Skiers with brain injuries and stroke victims
  • Skiers with autism
  • Skiers who have simply lost strength due to illness and disability
  • Skiers with vision problems and skiers who are blind

Disability, whether mental or physical, is not a barrier!

A variety of sessions are available from beginners, through to advanced and expert skiers to more experienced athletes at competition level.

Minimum booking is for two hours. Prices vary – please ask!

I have a wide variety of adaptive snowsport equipment including Mountain Man and Bi-Unique Bi Skis, Stand up outriggers, Sit ski riggers Trombone and j-bar ski links as well as tethers and more so can cater for almost any disablity. All the kit is maintained and renewed regularly and most is less than two years old.
